Finding Snow White on the Disney Dream

A few weeks ago I took a magical trip on the Disney Dream!  The ship was much larger than the one Disney ship I've been on (the Wonder).  While I was exploring the ship I found a few Snow White nods that I was excited to find.
This art is found outside of the Bibbity Bobbity Boo Boutique.  I did notice the art changed on Pirate night.

This art can be found in the stairwell.  A good blogger would have noted which floor and which staircase the art can be found - sadly, this blogger was so excited to be on the ship, she did record any of that!  If you know it's location, please leave me a note!

I had a unique opportunity to play in the Oceaneers lab during our cruise and the hand washing station (which is awesome!) features mirrors inspired by Disney's most famous mirror.

The club also had art around the room in mirror frames.

The Royal Place had a lot of art featuring our favorite princess - I was impressed by how well she was represented.

These two pieces can be found in the hallway on the way to Animator's Palette restaurant.

Inside the restaurant there were so many different things to look at - I'm sure there were many things around I missed - but I did find this Grumpy on a serving station.
One of the stage shows- Villains tonight - featured the Queen - I caught it later on the stateroom TV.

I wish I had more time to wander the ship.  There are so many magical touches all over.  One thing I was sad to learn was that the nightly chocolates no longer feature Sleepy!  Won't stop me from taking another cruise though!

WDW Radio Cruise!

I am getting very excited because this summer is going to be an awesome Disney filled adventure.  To kick it off I will be heading out on the Disney Dream with the WDW Radio Group for a Double Dip Cruise.  I can't wait to do a post about finding Snow White on the Dream!

Disney Cruise To Nowhere

This October I was able to take the second to last Disney Cruise to Nowhere.  The ship left out of San Diego on a Friday morning and returned Sunday morning without making any ports.  Apparently the laws have changed and Disney Cruise will not be able to do this itinerary any more.

Overall we had a fantastic trip.  It was very short, but perfect for the first time cruisers who wanted to see what it was like.  This was my second time on the Disney Wonder (check out my finding Snow White on the Wonder post here) but wanted to share a few of my favorite things from our trip and a couple of new Snow White pictures.

Finding Snow White on the Disney Wonder

I just got home from my first ever Disney cruise aboard the beautiful Disney Wonder: the seven day cruise to Alaska and it was absolutely amazing!  As always, I made it my mission to check out the ship and find everything Snow White related I could to report back.  There was so much concept art all over the ship and so many different locations; the ship was filled with Disney touches!
The first place to find Snow White is in the restaurant Animator's Palate.  Located on Deck 4 Aft, this is one of the three main restaurants in your rotational dinning.  It is also where you can take animation classes during the day on board the ship:
Evil Queen on the wall of Animator's Palate

Hag on wall in Animator's Palate

The shows on the Disney Wonder were fantastic!  There was no photography allowed during the shows, but during a few of the shows Snow White makes an appearance.  The big appearance is a show segment in The Golden Mickeys: Snow White and Dopey appear for that.  The Remember the Magic, A Final Farewell is when both Snow White and the Prince appear.

Each night upon returning to your stateroom, the fabulous state room host would have turned down your beds and left you a nightly piece of chocolate featuring Sleepy! (on Pirate night you get a Mickey doubloon instead).
Characters are all over the ship!  Including Snow White and Dopey (Dopey did not make many appearances so I never could catch him)

Lastly, what would any Disney vacation be without some shopping?  I was so shocked and excited to find Disney Cruise Line exclusive Snow White postcards!

If you have never been a Disney Cruise before I recommend checking out Disboards.  This forum has discussion groups forming about every sailing Disney does.  It is nice to get to know some of the people on your cruise, plan a meet, and you can also get involved in a fish extender game.  This is a gift exchange program with other people on the cruise.  It added so much to the cruise - it's fun to check your fish extender each day to see what you get and to go out and deliver your gifts.  I made my pocket fish extender to look like a Snow White totem pole.  I was sitting in the stateroom one afternoon when I heard a little girl go by our door and exclaim: "Mommy look!  It's Snow White's room!"

Snow White at the D23 Expo

Last weekend I attended the D23 Expo (along with thousands of other fans).  I will share more information about the Expo in the days to come but here are the Snow White related things I found.  Enjoy!

Hallmark displayed this upcoming Christmas ornament - 2012!

The pop up Disney Store was featuring their new designer Snow White dolls - it will be released on a Monday this fall
Merchandise featuring the designer Snow White
The Disney Store also sold Wish a Littles
In the Collectors Forum, a Snow White ride car was available for purchase (I didn't ask how much, if you have to ask, you can't afford it anyway)
There were a variety of artists working throughout the Expo - this was my favorite
In the healthy eating pavilion, I saw Snow White on the apple chips - hope the queen hasn't touched them!
