Snow White Micro Tsum Tsum set

I love the Disney Tsum Tsums but this newest set has got to the be the cutest one I've ever seen!  It was released on July 4th and  sells for 39.95.  The set includes a plush cottage with a front door that opens as well as access to the back of the cottage.  You also get all seven dwarfs and Snow White in micro size.

Isn't it so adorable?

Finding Snow White on the Disney Dream

A few weeks ago I took a magical trip on the Disney Dream!  The ship was much larger than the one Disney ship I've been on (the Wonder).  While I was exploring the ship I found a few Snow White nods that I was excited to find.
This art is found outside of the Bibbity Bobbity Boo Boutique.  I did notice the art changed on Pirate night.

This art can be found in the stairwell.  A good blogger would have noted which floor and which staircase the art can be found - sadly, this blogger was so excited to be on the ship, she did record any of that!  If you know it's location, please leave me a note!

I had a unique opportunity to play in the Oceaneers lab during our cruise and the hand washing station (which is awesome!) features mirrors inspired by Disney's most famous mirror.

The club also had art around the room in mirror frames.

The Royal Place had a lot of art featuring our favorite princess - I was impressed by how well she was represented.

These two pieces can be found in the hallway on the way to Animator's Palette restaurant.

Inside the restaurant there were so many different things to look at - I'm sure there were many things around I missed - but I did find this Grumpy on a serving station.
One of the stage shows- Villains tonight - featured the Queen - I caught it later on the stateroom TV.

I wish I had more time to wander the ship.  There are so many magical touches all over.  One thing I was sad to learn was that the nightly chocolates no longer feature Sleepy!  Won't stop me from taking another cruise though!

What to Pack for a D23 Expo

As you know from my post last week, I am very excited to be headed toward my fourth D23 expo next week.  After attending all the other expos I've learned a few things about what to bring with you to help make it a smooth trip!  You can read about my past expo experiences: 2009, 2013, 2015.

Being prepared is one of the keys to surviving the crowds and lines at the expo.  Here are the top items I pack for my expo experience:
Keep hydrated!  Expo days are fun filled and long.
Just a good idea in the crowds.

I love these Go Picnic boxes - no need to keep cold.  (Target and Amazon)
It can get cold in the convention center.  Can double as a pillow while waiting in lines.

You'll need to show membership cards at lots of places.  I like this pass holder from Disneyland Tokyo - Thanks Ebay!

Lot's of freebies at Expo - nice to keep them safe.

Works great to keep smaller freebies from getting destroyed.

Show your Disney Side!

You'll need the space to fill up with freebies and exclusives!

Don't forget your portable chargers too!

I will be at the expo all three days - If you see me (lady in Snow White shirts with the dwarf backpack pictured above), say hi!  I will have some Whistle While We Blog buttons to give out while supplies last.

D23 Expo Excitment!

News is starting to come out about the D23 Expo this summer!  I am very excited to be heading out to Anaheim again this year.  Be sure to keep an eye on my Instagram (@1937Fan) as I will have Whistle While We Blog buttons to hand out - I'd love to meet readers!

There are several Snow White specific things already announced for this expo.  Keep in mind it is the 80th anniversary this year!

The Evil Queen will be on a new stamp set debuting from the Post office on Saturday at 1:30!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: 80th Anniversary Screening (3:15 p.m., D23 Expo Arena) — Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs made its grand debut in 1937, and D23 Expo attendees can enjoy a special screening of the film that started it all.

I will most certainly be sure to look for Snow White merchandise including the Art of Snow White set.

I look forward to hearing more about the Expo in the coming days!

June News and Updates

My, my time is flying!  It's been over 100 degrees here!

Let's start this month's review with Daveland's Blog post featuring the hag on Snow White's Scary Adventure.

I'm amazed at all the different things that Disney put characters on - including this play and this Shoe box.

Check out these great vintage pics of the dwarfs as walk-around characters.

Disney continues to fuel my tsum tsum problem with a new Snow White blind bag and a mini plush set.

Have you checked out Heritage Auctions Animation auction?  Wow!

You can purchase the home of a Disney Animator who worked on Snow White!

June's Disney Store Sketchbook ornament features Snow White - be sure to pick one up. There is a pin too.

May News and Updates

What do Snow White, Rainbow Cavern Mine Train, Splash Mountain, and Country Bear Jamboree all have in common?  Read Jim Korkis' article to find out!

Disney Family has a few cute project ideas that are inspired by Snow and the Dwarfs - check them out here and here.

Did you see the video of the little girl at Disney who clearly wasn't interested in Snow?

Even though I contend that blind bags are an evil ploy - I will have to go in search of the tsum tsum evil queen pin.

Why can't I ever find rare art up in an attic somewhere?  Someone in Lichfield managed to find some.

If you're in El Paso, check out the film festival this August.

Macy's is launching a Princess Line  - I wonder if Snow White will get a shirt?

Hot Topic has a great new Dwarfs backpack - I got one to use at D23 expo (who else will be there?  I will have Whistle While We Blog buttons to give out!)

I love the Danielle Nicole purses - even if I can't fit all of my junk in them - how can you say no to Happy?

As always, Filmic Light has posted a ton of items that I now must scour eBay for:
Wonder Bread pennants
The Many Flowers Game
Snow White seed packets
Operetta Script

Kmart Garden

With the warm weather upon us I have been thinking about my patio.  I few months ago I came across some great patio decor at Kmart.

The garden swing N ring sell for $16.99.

The wobble statue sells for $19.99.  I found these very odd - in the garden, how well will they wobble?

These more traditional statues sell for 24.99.

Not Snow White, but I am in love with the Tsum Tusm line and these garden 'stones' are just so adorable!

Wonderground Gallery

Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney is one of my favorite places.  On a recent visit I picked up a few postcards that I just fell in love with:

This is part of a four part piece by Jerrod Maruyama titled Spring Flowers made for the EPCOT flower and garden festival.  Isn't she the cutest?

"A Villains Apple" by Gregg Visintainer

If you've never looked closely at Gregg's work, you are missing out.  Can you see the Evil Queen?

A larger budget could have gotten me a this version
Both postcards retail for $4.99

April Snow White News and Updates

Disney on Ice cast members showed how to make Snow White's Apple Chips on Michigan News.

How did I miss this?  Walgreens has a Snow White exclusive in the Mystery mini box!  Does anyone else find mystery packs wonderful and awful all at the same time?

Jamberry released another Snow White nail wrap.  Are you a fan of nail wraps?

I love this reward available from Disney movie Rewards - Mickey carving the Snow Dwarfs?  Too Cute!

Another Snow White character has shown up in the next blind bag wave of tsum tsums.

Filmic light has a great 1940s bottle that I must find!  Are you familiar with Giuseppe Armani figures?  Filmic light did a whole series on these - they are fantastic.  I love merchandise for Snow White's forest friends and these plush for 1938 are wonderful.  Some of my favorite things in my personal collection are promotional tie-ins that Disney did with various companies over the years.  And when you think Snow White, you think....Ham right?   This item is next level bonkers!

I love the Primark cosmetic bag with a Snow White pop art style.

A new art show: Never Grow Up is opening and it has some Snow White inspired art - check it out!

Los Angeles Magazine wrote about the refurbishment of the Snow White's Grotto.

Steve Thompson - Disney artist extraordinaire - posted a great Snow White doodle.

One day I will make it to Epcot flower and garden festival but until then I will just enjoy this Sneezy doodle.

Did you try the crazy new Starbucks drinks?  Chip and Co are dreaming up a Snow White version.

This year's Grand Floridan display featured a beautiful Evil Queen inspired Easter Egg.

Deja View featured an article on Disney Roughs featuring a few of our favorite sidekicks.

I'm going to need a copy of this Joey Chou Snow White print - so cute!

David Johnson's new book on Snow White's people finally came out - stay tuned for a review.

Hope you enjoyed all these articles and links.  Thanks for reading!

Disney Easter Egg Hunt

Happy Easter!

The eggs from the 2017 Downtown Disney eggstravaganza
Earlier this month I went to Downtown Disney to try out the Eggstravagnza Egg Hunt.  I was hoping for a egg themed to Snow White, but no such luck.  I did have a great time and the hunt will continue through 4/22.  If you are around - check it out!

Here is my map (sorry for not taking the picture before I started hunting!).  You can purchase it at most stores owned by Disney - I got mine at the Pin shop.

These are the eggs we picked at the redemption center in World of Disney

Disney's Dress Shop

Snow White dress at Vault 28
Last weekend Disney opened The Dress Shop in Disney Springs.  Here in California, Vault Disney got a variety of the dresses.  Of course, I had to go and check it out when I saw a Snow White inspired dress.  I was not disappointed!  The dresses were flying off the self and I got lucky in grabbing the size I wanted but check out how amazing it is:

When you purchase the dress it comes in this wonderful dress bag - note the Mickey on the bow.

Here is my dress - the "bites" out of the apples are actually silhouettes of the dwarfs!
