Harvey's x Snow White Release

Last Saturday I drove to Santa Ana to Harvey's flagship location for the Snow White release!  I was very impressed with how organized the event was and there wasn't a very long wait at all.  The staff was so kind and many of them were Disneybounding as Snow White - so cute!

The red handkerchief was the gift with purchase.  The Dopey backpack is one of the wonderful new pieces.  They also brought back the poison apple bag from the Villains line for this release.

Love, Love, Love this print!  The small one is a zippered pouch and the large gym bag style tote is the best!

I thought I was going to be picking up this purse and wallet, but I ended up falling for some of the other pieces.  All three of the Snow White pieces are lined in adorable dwarf print!

Limited edition pins - each cost $12.  Behind the pins is the Snow White book - but it's actually a cross body bag!

Snow White Micro Tsum Tsum set

I love the Disney Tsum Tsums but this newest set has got to the be the cutest one I've ever seen!  It was released on July 4th and  sells for 39.95.  The set includes a plush cottage with a front door that opens as well as access to the back of the cottage.  You also get all seven dwarfs and Snow White in micro size.

Happy Mother's Day!

From 1974 to 1982 Schmid produced a series of Mother's Day plates.  The plate in 1975 featured Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  The plate is 7 1/2 inches in diameter and comes in a box with the same design.

The other characters featured in the series were:
1974 - Mickey, Huey, Dewey, and Louie
1976 - Minnie, Figaro, Pinocchio, and 3 Pigs
1977 - Pluto and cats
1978 - Bambi and Flowers
1979 - Bambi, Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Thumper, 2 of Donald's nephews, and woodland animals
1980 - Minnie, one of Donald's nephews, and Mickey's two nephews
1981 - Dalmations
1982 - Mickey, Minnie, and Mickey's two nephews

The Seven Dwarfs Before Snow White

I have been decidedly remiss in my posting in the month of March - so we're now on to April and it seems I have missed some news -
What were the seven dwarfs up to before Snow White entered thier life?  A new pilot show announced for Disney Junior will explain just that:

7D (animated series pilot on Disney Junior)
Creators, including Walt Disney himself, have long been inspired to access classic folk and fairy tales... reimagining, reinterpreting and reinventing them for new generations. The animated series pilot 7D takes a new creative approach to the beloved Brothers Grimm tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, reimagining it in a comic and contemporary storybook world. The new music-filled stories introduce the whimsical world of Jollywood, where the kind-hearted Queen Delightful calls upon the 7D — Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc — for assistance.  (From D23 News 3/17/2011)

This show is still in production and more details are sure to come.  It is an interesting concept, but one that makes me more than a little nervous.  Time shall tell if they get it right.

D23 Pins

The Disney Store online is selling two pins to celebrate Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the studios history.  The box set celebrates the building on the studio lot that uses the dwarfs as pillars.  The other (an much more affordable option) features Dopey standing by the famous street sign added to the Disney Studio lot for the filming of the reluctant dragon.
