Animators will be animators
Disney Blue-Ray DVD posted a video clip from the bonus section from the October 2009 release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. In this clip, "The Making of Snow White," animators recalled the gags and pranks they played on each other. My favorite? The incredible growing turtle. Enjoy!

Muppet Snow White and Seven Dwarfs
Piggy as the evil queen? Kermit as the prince? Dr. Teeth as Doc? Animal as Sneezy? Fozzie as the mirror? Sign me up! How fun is this? Check out this interview with Jesse Blaze Snider that gives lots of information about the upcoming comic from Boom! studios. There is some artwork posted here. According to the Tough Pigs website it will be out in April. Check out Boom kids! for more Disney and Muppet comics.

Little Golden Book
Here is the 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Little Golden Book. This was one of the first things that was added to my collection that fits the 'vintage' category. It was purchased in a store that primarliy sold movie posters (If I'm remembering correctly - it was in Westwood, CA). The picture of the spine is not great - but under the title there is a nice picture of the queen and the back cover (bottom right picture) illustrates the birds trying to protect Snow White from the hag peddling apples.

A Slightly Different Snow White
It is Valentines Day and what better way to celebrate than to look at the first Disney princess through a slightly different lens. I got this book last Christmas and have thoroughly enjoyed the art. The new D-Street store in Downtown Disney, Anaheim features many of these styles on tees. Still waiting for the cover art purse that was shown at the D23 expo.

Disneyland's 50th Anniversary
Disneyland is turning 55 this year. Back five years ago I attended the 50th Anniversary after being one of the annual passholders to win two tickets. The park was closed that day to the general public and main street was full of media. While walking around - saw the above image of Snow White giving an interview. Here are some other photos from the event:
During the 50th Anniversary Disneyland had a golden ride car on many of the attractions. There was a golden teacup, a golden jungle cruise boat...They also spruced up the park with lots of golden touches. The attratctions that were open in July 1955 got a Class of 55 plaque. Snow White's plaque hung outside the entracne and the sign got a little sparkle:
The park also put up large photo mosaics. These were made up of submitted guests photos. In Fantasyland - directly in front of the enterance to Fantasyland Theatre was this one:
The most entertaining portion of the day was watching the parade. It was a great place to celebrity watch. Here are two of the stars we saw that day:
