In an effort to keep everyone up to date; here is a list of links to articles this month that talked about Snow White related things. Enjoy!
Check out this article about a UCLA professor who helped Shanghi Disneyland recreate many iconic costumes, including an amazing Snow White!
According the the New York Post, you can stay in a Snow White style cottage in LA - I would fact check the rumor about it being inspiration to the film, but it is interesting to look at.
As always, Filmic Light featured some great items including:
Moon Cake Tins
Art Deco Evil Queen
Steve Thompson, Disney artist, posted an adorable Snow White!
Andres Dejas wrote a tribute to Fred Moore to celebrate his birthday and included some great concept art of the two of our favorite dwarfs!
In true Disney fashion, September means Halloween and All Ears blog has a feature about Halloween time at Disneyland and the return of the poison apple mug. All Ears also made it out to Paris for the first Run Disney event out there and was able to snap some photos of the upcoming Dopey challenge medal. Not sure I'm ever gonna earn one of those!
WDW Fan Zone made it out to the US open where Disney Princess had some promotions going on - including a custom Snow White tennis racket cover.
One of my favorite finds this month comes from Daveland Blog. This 1956 photo is of a cutout of Dopey at Disneyland that guests could stick their head in!
Disney Animation Television posted a short (micro-short) promo video featuring Sleepy.
Over on Tumbler Poison Apple a Day posted a beautiful cuckoo clock by Kevin and Jody and a picture of Snow White and Michael Jackson.
TouringPlans blog featured an article on the history of the Carthay Circle Theater.
Over on Disney Style Blog three have been lots of new posts:
A fall inspired Snow White Disney Bound
New purses were a big theme - some here and here
Alex and Ani bracelets featured a Snow White version
Hallmark has a new line of Princess items - I wonder if Snow White will be on anything?
Disney Style wondered what designers would the Evil Queen wear
The Los Angeles Times had an article about a former character cast member who wanted to be Dopey.
WDW Radio did a podcast about the top 10 moments they wished they could have seen in Disney History. I agree with one of them for sure!
The Disneyland Alumni club had a few fun articles about Snow White in their newsletter, but I don't think it available to the general public. Check out their website though.
Alright, that's it for the month of September! Welcome Fall.
A fan sharing thoughts, finds, facts, and stories about Disney's first full length feature animation film: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Animator Magazines
Didier Ghez, a Disney historian, who has written or worked on many amazing Disney history books, has a blog that I follow. He shared that an English magazine - Animator - put an archive up of their issues.
Issue 20 has two Snow White articles written by some very accomplished Disney historians:
Behind the Magic Mirror
It took 750 artists three years to produce Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Richard Holliss looks at the innovation that went on behind the scenes.
Disney‘s fabulous folly
Brian Sibley tells the story behind the making of Walt Disney’s first animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The archive features many interviews with Disney animators and I'm sure there are some other Snow White related articles. Enjoy!

Danielle Nicole Snow White Purse
It seems that more and more names in fashion are joining with Disney to create fun (and expensive) lines. Danielle Nicole (known for handbags) recently made a line of four Disney bags - Beast, Tinkerbell, Flounder, and Snow White!

Snow White Teachers Guide
Back in June, Jim Korkis wrote an article for Mouseplanet about a Snow White Appreciation Guide. I was really curious to see what it looked like and I got lucky and found one that was for sale at a reasonable price. So here it is!
The guide is broken into several sections
* A foreword by William F Bauer
* Part I: Background on the Brothers Grimm
* Part II: The appeal of the simple tale
* Part III: Why I chose Snow White
* Part IV: The animated interlude because the feature picture
* Miniature stills for notebook illustrations
* Part V: synopsis of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
* Part VI: The Pictorial Art of Disney
* Questions on Disney's art
* Questions on musical elements
Many of the pages include pictures or concept art drawings with questions like the one below.
I'm so glad to have found this item! Being a teacher myself, the questions that are suggested to ask students are a little funny to me now, but it is fun to read!
I'm a fan of Jim Korkis's work - he has written some wonderful books that if you haven't read, you really should check out

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs updates for the month of August
I love to read about Disney - every evening I read many different websites that discuss all things Disney. As I do, I often run across interesting articles related to Snow White. So here it is, my first updates from the month of ... post! I will provide a collection of links to different articles and sites that I found interesting this month. Enjoy! (if you do enjoy, let me know in the comments and I will try to make this a regular post on my blog)
The OC Register had this article about the children of people who worked on Snow White - and yes, I considered trying to crash their dinner. How wonderful that they have a tradition to get together!
National Coloring Book Day was in August and Disney Style had an article with coloring pages - including a great one of the Evil Queen.
Andreas Dejas wrote and article called "The Trouble with Cels" featuring some heartbreaking images of Disney cels that have deteriorated over time (including a Snow White one).
Filmic Light - Snow White Archive had a couple of items that peaked my interested this month including a toothpaste ad and a cast member belt buckle.
Disney style posted "13 Disney Things from Torrid you Don't Want to Miss" and I missed. The seven dwarfs skirt is amazing...and sold out.
Also from Disney style is a collection of art from Artist Gabby Zapata that features a great Snow White inspired piece.
Davelandblog has some pictures from Disneyland in 1961 that include a Snow White operating the Snow White attraction! Whaaa?
Next time you are in New Orleans be sure to stop by Storyland as featured in Davelandblog. The Snow White cottage is so cute! Wonder if one would fit in my backyard?
WDW fan zone posted about Target's new line of super cute and super comfy PJs - I love the dwarfs on the pants, but I didn't buy these pajamas - I actually am a morning person!
As you know if you ever read my blog or look at my instagram account, I have a tsum tsum problem and these new blind bag pins are going to be an issue for me - need the Evil Queen!

Snow White La Mode Lamp
Last month I received a new item to the collection: a 1938 La Mode lamp. According to my collectibles guide book: "Figural painted plaster lamp is 3x3.5x7.25 tall to the top of Snow White, 9.75" tall to top of socket. Underside has original paper label with company name and Disney copyright."
Now I need to find a shade!

Tsum Tsum Snow White
If any of you follow my instagram, you know that I love Tsum Tsum Snow White. I, like many others, have spent more time than I will admit playing the addicting game. I was recently thrilled to find out that it was lucky time for three Disney princess tsums (meaning you had a higher chance of getting on of these gals if you used points to buy a new character).
Well, lucky time is right! I got Snow White! When you use her during game play, the dwarfs pop up and clear additional tsums when you click on them. Plus, notice how the screen becomes the forest woodland.
